Mechanical systems
Our HVAC design experience includes hundreds of industrial and advanced-technology installations. Preconditioned air units with dew-point control allow very close-tolerance humidity control, and development of mechanical and electrical systems begins in the programming phase, addressing technology, quality, reliability, redundancy and budget. Process and instrumentation diagrams are developed early in design.
Edmondson Engineers was the designer on the performance contract team that retrofitted the North Carolina Museum of Art's chiller and boiler plant, replacing a 1,600-ton chiller plant with a 1,000-ton plant featuring variable primary flow pumping and a variable speed drive chiller.
